Hi! I’m Nicole and I couldn’t be more excited to be part of the Auction of Washington Wines team. This opportunity is really a dream job, combining all my likes for wine, food, charity and travel. The road to get here has been fun, starting when I was at Gonzaga University - GO ZAGS! While at Gonzaga, I worked for a small winery in Spokane as their events and marketing coordinator which really prompted my interest in the wine industry. I graduated in 2005 with a degree in Public Relations and immediately jumped into the corporate PR world, where I spent the next six years working for agencies in both San Francisco and Seattle. I was able to work with some great clients and really enjoyed the event planning side of my job. 

When the opportunity came up with the Auction I knew it was time to make a big career change. So I said goodbye to the corporate PR world and moved into non-profit events full time. It’s been a crazy transition but also a rewarding experience. I’d have to say the best part of my job is working with winemakers. The industry is one of the best I’ve ever worked in and everyone has a huge passion for what they do. I’m really looking forward to celebrating with everyone at the August events and to start the next phase of work with the Auction as we head into our 25th anniversary celebration! 

When I’m not busy working you’d most likely find me jet setting somewhere new. I have a huge passion for travel, which all started when I studied abroad in the Gonzaga-in-Florence program. I’ve been back to Europe twice since then, to Asia once and am looking forward to my next trip this fall with my husband…Ireland! When I’m not trekking somewhere, I’m usually enjoying a glass of wine on my back patio.
