Be WOW'd by the Wines of Washington

Plans for Memorial Day Weekend

Thursday, March 31, 2011 at 9:38am

Eastern Washington is on my mind alot lately as we gear-up for our first event of the year, Revelry on Red Mountain. We have partnered with the Tri Cities Visitor & Convention Bureau in an effort to showcase this as a destination event for those of us on the Western side of the mountains. When we talk about Eastern Washington in wine-related conversations, most folks think only of Walla Walla. But the Tri Cities and Yakima is not to be missed. Today marks the last day of Washington's official wine month as designated by Governor Gregoire and an article was posted in the Tri-City Herald that brings it to a close. If you are looking for something to do over Memorial Day Weekend, consider heading to Tri-Cities and joining us as we make Revelry on Red Mountain. Drink some wine, play some golf, drink more wine, jetboat down the river, have a glass of wine and toast the growers and winemakers in our state.- Sherri Swingle, Executive Director, Auction of Washington Wines
